WIX Filters announced Friday that it has extended its sponsorship of and partnership with Richard Childress Racing.
The air and oil filter manufacturer will serve as primary sponsor in select events for the No. 31 Chevrolet of Ryan Newman in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, starting with this weekend’s Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway.
It also was primary sponsor for Brendan Gaughan’s No. 62 Chevy in last week’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Texas Motor Speedway.
WIX will also continue to provide technical support, research and development support for both RCR and ECR Engines.
"RCR has been involved with WIX for many years, going back to when I was building the engines myself,” team owner Richard Childress said in a media release. “Around 2000, we began working with WIX to develop and air and oil filters to help our racing program, and sure enough, they built us one that exceeded our performance demands.
“WIX has always been there for us and I’m proud to continue to work alongside WIX’s engineers to apply our research to their everyday performance demands.”
